Fishing

As you may have noticed from my Rupture experience feed, I've gotten back into Fishing in WoW. I'm even over 300 skill points! All other professions and weapons skills I end up maxing out at the level cap, but fishing has always lagged far, far behind. It just doesn't hold my interest, and even when I'm doing it, I need a movie or something to keep myself busy. Last night, I was futzing around with the original Fallout on my other computer.

Of course, there's a simple reason for this change: achievements. I'm very motivated by checklists, and if I get the occasional shot of dopamine as I'm progressing towards something, I'm inclined to keep doing it, even if it isn't my favorite activity. The new achievement system will likely keep me hooked on WoW until Star Trek Online comes out.
